A Quiet Place with the Father speaks to the common Christian who has, at one time or another, felt overwhelmed or stressed as a result of a chaotic schedule. Many Christians today struggle with finding time to pray, and this text attempts to rekindle a passion for prayer within each of its readers, as well as push through the distractions for a quiet time and place of intimacy with the Father.

A Quiet Place with the Father is the first of many books that the Lord has deposited into Author, Elder Walter S. Strong III, so that he can release it to churches in this country and all around the world. He has a passion to see God’s people to return to the altar of the Lord so that their lives can be transformed, their families can be restored, people marriages healed through the power of prayer. A Quiet Place with the Father is available at Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble.com and Xulon Press Christian Bookstore.

This book is a true eye opener for me because there’s been a lot of distractions in my life that has affected me emotionally and I haven’t been praying as fervently as I should but God spoke to me through this book and now I know I desperately need to be in (A quiet place with the father) God bless you elder Strong for your obedience in writing this book.

In  rereading A Quiet Place with the Father by Elder Walter S. Strong III , his book has lead me on a pathway of obedience to God. Think about it! When things are their worst, you may be tempted not only to give up hope but question your faith . A book such as this one will bring you back to seek out ” a quiet place ” to be with God even when you don’t understand His ways. He will rekindle the fire in your heart, He will prove himself to be trustworthy!

This book is a great read! It provides biblical principles that will impact your life in a positive way and it is compiled in a great “reader friendly” layout and it holds your attention from beginning to end. This book will educate, empower and encourage you in various ways.

Enriched with utterly true, honest, and natural language and experience, the author definitely grabs your shoulder softly, yet firmly with this contribution. He constructed this read with appropriate examples from the Word of God and from his own life as well, but what makes it better is the inclusion of struggles other people around him have had too. I really love the encompassing prayer at the end of each chapter. The author gives it everything he has with the Holy Spirit to pour out his blessings, wishes, and hopes upon us, and he does it all unapologetically.

Why I like this book for the following reasons: -I enjoyed the introduction as it was rather nostalgic; especially the part about going to grandma’s house and using a rotary phone. -In my opinion, there are many “life lessons” (i.e. On page 21 of A Quiet Place with the Father, the following is stated: “For to rush into a rash decision for the benefit of pleasing men or the Lord will only cause you pain and regret later on down the road.”) which can be learned from religious teachings and the aforementioned life lesson is just one of many from A Quiet Place with the Father.

Ask the Author

How do you get inspired to write? By spending time in prayer with the Father and learning from other successful authors in my genre.

What advice would you provide for aspiring writers? Find what you are most passionate about and allow the Lord to show you how to use it and add value in the lives of others.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book? By spending time with the Father in my Quiet Place of Prayer and listening to others share their struggles about their prayer life.

What are you currently working on? I am working on setting up an email mailing list through Mail Chimp. I am also working on my second and third book which my goal is to have it finished by the end of 2016.

What is the best thing about being an author? It has allowed me to meet different people of color and from other cultures who were interested in purchasing my book on prayer. The Church is not just one denomination or one race of people. The Church is the Body of Christ.

How do you deal with writer’s block? The way I have learned to deal with writer’s block is by listening to soft Christian instrumental music and Movie Soundtrack movie music and spending time reading.
